Wild Horses
Have you
stopped believing in magic?
|
Homes |
There was a time when wild mustangs careened through these hills and into the fresh, clear water of the Blanco River. It is in that spirit and their honor that we dedicate this happy place! |
|
Come to Wild Horses in the spring when
fireflies dance beneath the tall pecan trees, or in autumn when the air is
lightly scented with oak from the large wood burning fireplace. Rain plays a
tune on the metal roof on brisk winter days, and in summer the river is a
siren's song, impossible to resist. Wild Horses is located on a moon washed
stretch of the clear, spring fed Blanco River. Perhaps it's been too long since you
were close enough to the magic to smell it. Come to Wild Horses and believe
again! Amenities include a shaded lawn with a deep carpet of St.
Augustine grass, a big Texas sky that is awash with stars at night, a wide
glassed-in porch, queen bed with pillow top mattress, full kitchen,
fireplace, DVD, VCR, TV, CD player, Sony sound system, small library,
hammock and barbecue grill. A dreamy vacation retreat any time of
year. $150 per night, 2 people, 2 night minimum. For the comfort of our
guests we provide a smoke free interior, and while we love animals, we
regret that the property must remain pet free. Contact Jean or Jim Henderson at 512/847-3960 or 512/847-2608

This has been perfect - the silence, the peace, the ahhhhhh of long breaths I have been needing. A little bit of balm for my soul - who am I kidding? - a big amount of balm for my soul. We will be back. Thank you for this gift." D.M. "Great place to celebrate turning 56! We appreciated how clean and cozy and well stocked the cottage was. We enjoyed watching the deer kicking up their heels and playing with each other barely noticing us, and we enjoyed getting up close and personal with your owl while he intently hunted for his dinner. Having a deep swimming hole right outside the door has been great, too! Our first picture was of your two pecan trees lovingly leaning on each other. We considered that an omen of the good fortune that did unfold. We've been coming to Wimberley for over 20 yrs. but this is our first time sharing Wild Horses, and we are grateful for your hospitality!" K & MJ |
